EatWise – Smart Grocery & Meal Management System
MBA Capstone Project | Team of 5 | 2024
EatWise was designed as a data-driven, AI-enabled household management application built in alignment with Germany’s Industry 4.0 standards — emphasizing digital integration, automation, and intelligent decision-making. The project aimed to transform how households track groceries, reduce waste, and plan meals efficiently.
Throughout the project, our team developed the complete business and operational framework from concept to launch readiness. We created the Business Model Canvas, Project Canvas, PESTEL and SWOT analyses, and a Work Breakdown Structure to define core deliverables and operational interdependencies. Using schedule network diagrams and Gantt charts, we established a precise project timeline aligned with resource optimization principles.
On the technical front, the concept integrated AI-assisted inventory management, voice-based interaction, and ERP-style data synchronization to enable predictive grocery replenishment and smart recipe suggestions — reflecting the intelligent automation focus of Industry 4.0 ecosystems.
We also managed the branding and go-to-market strategy, developing the EatWise logo, website, and advertisement campaigns, along with a budget and hiring plan for the launch phase.
Although the project did not progress to the implementation stage due to financial constraints, it showcased our ability to merge business strategy, technology, and sustainability within a modern digital framework — demonstrating the real-world applicability of smart system design in the evolving food-tech landscape.
